If your product turns out to be faulty or damaged, SMAI will repair, replace or refund the item; unless (but not limited to):

  • The product has not been used for its original intended purpose
  • Normal wear and tear

  • Misuse
  • Incorrect installation/assembly
  • Improper storage
  • Poor maintenance
  • Outside the warranty period
  • Lack of proof of purchase

Unless otherwise specified in our Warranty Policy, all products have a 3 month manufacturing warranty, starting from date of invoice.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Do Not

  • Throw the dumbbells from height or overhead
  • Throw the dumbbells with momentum
  • Throw or drop onto a hard surface
  • Hit the dumbbells together with force
  • Store in direct sunlight

  • Dumbbell head becomes loose: this is a result of constant dropping
  • Rubber head gets cut or chipped: this is a result of dropping onto a hard/sharp surface
  • Drying or cracking from overexposure to UV rays
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damages, surface scratches, chipping

  • SMAI Dumbbells ends are welded onto the handles for maximum life and safety however if used incorrectly (e.g. dropped from overhead repeatedly or used on a rigid surface) the weighted heads may come loose and movement/play in the ends will become evident over long periods of use
  • In this case, it is the responsibility of the user to discontinue use of the affected dumbbell and replace.
  • Use a PH neutral detergent to wipe over the rubber ends. Wipe dry with a lint free cloth.
  • Clean the handle regularly with WD-40 to avoid rust
